New sales rep for Sims

Florida based rental company Sims Crane & Equipment has appointed Craig Corbett as sales representative in Orlando.

He joins the company from Kansas based Custom Truck & Equipment, where for the past year or so he has been responsible for crane sales and rental in Florida, including products from National Crane, Elliott, IMT and Terex Cranes and Utility Equipment. Prior to that he spent almost two years with H&E Equipment Services as territory manager, with products from JLG, Genie, Skyjack and Terex.

Corbett grew up in the crane business as the son of Pat Corbett, former owner of Corbett Cranes. But he began his career with Ring Power Cat in 1997, spending almost 15 years with the company, most recently as regional manager cranes looking after new and used crane sales and rentals representing Manitowoc, Grove, National Crane, Manitex and Broderson. He left the company in 2012 to join Renegar-Driggers Machinery as a territory sales manager, leaving almost two years later for H&E.

Craig Corbett

In his new job with Sims, he will be responsible for providing ongoing support sales for existing customers. Vice president of marketing Dean Sims said: “Craig boasts extensive experience and we are thrilled to have him on the Sims team. We know Craig will be instrumental in attaining our long-term business development goals in Central Florida.”

In addition to its base in Tampa, Sims Crane & Equipment has 11 branches around Florida, in Daytona Beach, Ft. Myers, Jacksonville, Miami, Mulberry, Ocala, Orlando, Sarasota, Titusville, West Palm Beach, Vero Beach.
