Turkish distributor for Straightpoint

Load measurement and monitoring equipment manufacturer Straightpoint has appointed Onursan as its distributor for Turkey.

The company, based in Istanbul is a specialist supplier to the marine safety industry, and previously only offered analogue and dated digital technologies. Its product range includes marine fire fighting systems, services related to life rafts, and lifeboat davit or winch equipment. Onursan also has facilities in Izmir on Turkey’s Aegean coast and in Iskenderun, near to a number of the country’s ports.

Onursan general co-ordinator Barbaros Onur said: “Reliable force measurement technology is becoming increasingly important to our customers, who work in the hazardous marine environment. We have experimented with alternative measuring products to complete load tests, for example, but we have experienced problems. The reputed quality and durability of Straightpoint’s portfolio, therefore, appealed to us.”
