Kalmar RTGs for Morocco

Moroccan terminal operator Eurogate Tanger has ordered two 50 tonne Kalmar rubber tyred gantry (RTG) cranes.

The RTG cranes are seven plus one wide and can stack one over five high. They will be equipped with Kalmar’s SmartRail Container Position Indication (CPI), a real time system to track and report container lifts and sets, and Kalmar SmartFleet, a remote monitoring and analysis tool. Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2019.

Located on the Strait of Gibraltar, Eurogate Tanger has a quay length of 812 metres and a terminal area of 400,000 square metres. All RTGs currently operating at the terminal have been supplied by Kalmar.
