Boom truck overturn
A man was injured last Thursday when a boom truck/platform he was using overturned in Homestead, on the south side of Miami, Florida.
The man was operating the machine as a crane from the truck bed, using the lower controls when it tipped over, he managed to jump clear but injured his back in the process. He was treated by emergency services at the scene before being airlifted to a local hospital.

The overturned boom truck
The cause has not been revealed, but seems to be outrigger related although we cannot confirm that. The boom of the machine, which is owned by Acolite Claude sign, was cut into sections during the recovery process, a small fuel and oil spill was contained by the emergency services.
