More Versalifts for BT Openreach

UK telecoms service company BT Openreach has placed one of its largest single orders for van mounted platforms with Versalift UK.

The company has ordered 70 units of the 14.3 metre Versalift ETM38-F E6 mounted on an Iveco Daily 50C van. The new platforms include Load Moment Control, intelligent outreach and LV insulation. A mainstay of the BT Openreach aerial lift fleet, they offer nine metres of outreach, a platform capacity of 230kg and around 1,000kg of spare payload in the van, after the BT optional accessories are installed. The order also includes a number of truck mounted platforms.

Versalift UK’s general manager Andy Bray said: “Our two companies have a long established working relationship and we are delighted to continue developing the Openreach access fleet.”

This order follows hot on the tail of a 70 unit order for 13 metre Palfinger pick-up mounted platforms and 50 14.6 metre Klubb van mounted lifts placed by BT Openreach last month.
