LGH relocates in London
UK based Lifting Gear Hire (LGH) has moved to a new location in Crayford, south east London, and gained silver FORS accreditation (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme).
The company says that the new premises have more room for lifting, rigging, and safety equipment inventory. LGH also operates from locations in Aberdeen, Scotland and Manchester, where its national rental and customer contact centre is based.

FORS accreditation confirms that a company manages its transport fleet along best practice lines relating to safety, efficiency, and environmental protection by encouraging and training fleet operators to measure, monitor and improve performance. It also acknowledges that LGH’s fleet is deemed compliant with Construction Logistics and Community Safety standards and with Transport for London’s Work Related Road Risk.

Managing director Colin Naylor said: “The original warehouse in Rainham was shared with a sister company, Rotrex Winches, and we always planned to relocate to an independent site within 18 months of opening. First it was important to embed ourselves back into the marketplace and gain an understanding of client demographic and the level of demand the region would place upon the facility. Business in London is very buoyant across several sectors, including infrastructure, utilities, construction and industrial projects.”
