New CEO for Samson
US synthetic crane rope manufacturer Samson has appointed Christian Rheault as chief executive.
Rheault formally takes up his new role a the start of next month, and joins the company from sealing manufacturer Greene Tweed where he has been chief executive for the past three years. Prior to that he was chief executive of power storage company C&D Technologies.

Christian Rheault
He began his career in 1988 at IBM Canada, moving through a number of increasingly senior roles as part of the company’s fast track engineering and management training programme including business unit manager, engineering manager, manufacturing manager and manufacturing design engineer. In 1998 he was appointed vice president equipment at manufacturer Kulicke & Sofa Industries, and 11 years later he was promoted to senior vice president. In 2012 he moved to oil & gas solutions company Preferred Sands as president, before taking up the role at C&D Technologies.
Robert Strouse, president of Samson holding company Wind River Holdings said: “We are looking forward to Christian joining the Samson team. We believe that his experience in leading technology companies will be instrumental to continuing Samson’s leadership in performance cordage, and expanding its market position.”
