Mid East distribution centre for Genie

Genie has opened distribution centre/warehouse in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai.

The new centre, the company’s first in the region, is located on the premises of third party logistics provider Wallenius Wilhelmsen Solutions (WWS), the global Norwegian shipping and logistics group. The Jebel Ali warehouse will stock a range of Genie boom and scissor lifts for immediate delivery, while the facility also includes pre-delivery inspection bays, which are also set up to allow the fitting of certain optional items.

Genie scissor lifts at the new facility

Genie sales director for Middle East, South Africa and Russia Sharbel Kordahi said: “This distribution centre is geared to the specific needs of customers in the Middle East, and as such, the main focus will be on considerably speeding up the delivery of critical and one shot orders. At the same time, our distributors will continue to maintain their own stocks of Genie equipment on their own premises to ensure the best response possible to all customers throughout the region.”
