10 Demag Citys for Felbermayr

Austrian crane and heavy transport company Felbermayr has ordered 10 units of Demag’s 45 tonne AC 45 City crane, the first two of which have already been delivered.

The AC 45 City has a 31.2 metre main boom which can telescope up to 19.7 tonnes, while a 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension takes the maximum on board tip height to over 45 metres. The crane’s IC-1 Plus control system also monitors the actual outrigger set up and slew position to calculate a specific load chart for that precise position.

Felbermayr said: "In our opinion, the Demag AC 45 City is a good choice in many areas. The ability to telescope heavy loads both vertically and horizontally is an invaluable advantage when used in buildings. The stepless variable Flex Base outrigger system will also be a major advantage, especially in confined spaces, as it enables cranes to extend their outriggers all the way to surrounding obstacles and get the largest possible outrigger base in any scenario”.

Established in 1942, Felbermayr is based in Wels, Austria and runs more than 400 cranes, topped by a 1,000 tonner, employing 2,700 staff across 69 sites in 19 European countries. The company also runs a large telehandler and aerial work platform rental fleet, while offering heavy lift and transportation services.
