Five year Story deal for A-Plant
UK rental company A-Plant has been awarded a five year contract to supply infrastructure company Story Contracting equipment, in a deal worth £7.5 million – at least 30 percent of which will be made up of aerial platforms and telehandlers.
As part of the deal, A-Plant has purchased and replaced Story’s existing fleet, while a number of A-Plant staff will work within Story’s operational teams based in Blantyre and Carlisle. It will also provide priority access of equipment to Story’s contractors.
Adrian Hart, managing director of the Story plant division, said: “As part of our ongoing strategy, it is critical to Story Contracting that we develop new alliances and partnerships across the UK to support our regional teams and this acts as an addition to our core strategy supporting our rail division. I am delighted and extremely confident that our relationship with A-Plant will benefit both businesses over the next five years.”
