Platform overturn in Arnhem
A man was seriously injured this morning in Arnhem, the Netherlands, after falling around 12 metres, when the truck mounted platform he was working from overturned, reportedly throwing him out of the basket.
The man was trimming trees for the municipality of Arnhem, when it seems the outriggers on the load side of his 3.5 tonne Palfinger truck mounted telescopic lift sunk into the soft ground, causing the machine to lose stability. The machine was set up on the edge of a woodland track, with the outriggers set on small mats on the field side.

The injured man was rushed to hospital where he was said to be in a stable condition, We have not been able to confirm whether he was wearing a harness and was thrown clear as was indicated by a spokesman for the municipality, or he simply went down with the machine.
The labour inspectorate has launched an investigation.
