Kalmar reachstacker for Delca

Belgian terminal operator Delca Logistics has ordered a 45 tonne Kalmar Super Gloria reachstacker.

Scheduled for delivery later this year, the Super Gloria is the company’s largest reachstacker and is able to stack up to five containers high and up to four deep. Used at the company’s terminal in Wielsbeke to load and unload cargo from ships, the unit features a stage V engine and a camera system.

Delca fleet manager, Philippe Lesaffre, said: “We previously collaborated with Kalmar on a repair project for one of our barge handlers and were impressed with their speed, flexibility and professionalism. The new reachstacker will play an important part in the future of our terminal by enabling safe and efficient handling of heavy and challenging loads.”

Founded in 2000, Delca Logistics operates a river terminal in Wielsbeke, West Flanders, with three Kalmar Gloria reachstackers.
