New York crane rental company US Crane & Rigging placed an order for seven Liebherr All Terrain, Rough Terrain and crawler cranes at Conexpo last week.
Scheduled for delivery throughout 2020, the order comprises a 90 tonne LRT 1090-2.1 and 100 tonne LRT 1100-2.1 Rough Terrain cranes, as well as a 60 tonne LTR 1060, one 100 tonne LTR 1100 and 220 tonne LTR 1220 telescopic crawler cranes. It has also ordered a six axle 300 tonne LTM 1300-6.2 and eight axle 450 tonne LTM 1450-8.1 All Terrain crane.
The new cranes have been purchased as part of the company’s expansion plans into the south east and west coast following the opening of a new facility in Fort Lauderdale.
Richard Petrosa, US Crane & Rigging chief operating officer, said: “US Crane is increasing its operating area from New York’s tri-state area into the southeast and west coast. Our new plant is centred in Fort Lauderdale. These cranes will play an integral part to that expansion. We trust in the Liebherr cranes and hope that this purchase makes the relationship between US Crane and Liebherr even stronger and more prosperous.”
