€80m Liebherr order for Al Faris

Dubai crane and transportation company Al Faris has placed an order for 69 Liebherr All Terrain and crawler cranes in an order worth €80 million.

The order for 66 All Terrain cranes includes the first dozen 230 tonne LTM 1230-5.1s to arrive in the Middle East, the company’s twelfth 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1, two 650 tonne LTM 1650-8.1s and two 50 tonne LTC 1050-3.1 city type cranes. In addition, the order includes three crawler cranes, which include a 400 tonne LR 1400/1, a 600 tonne LR 1600/2 and one of the first 800 tonne LR 1800-1.0 in the Middle East following its launch at bauma last year.

Established in 1992, Al Faris is one of the largest crane and transport rental companies in the Middle East, employing 3,200 across 10 locations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
