10 year repeat order
German crane rental company Horn Autokrane has taken delivery of a second 100 tonne Liebherr LTM 1100-5.2 All Terrain crane to replace the exact same model purchased 10 years ago.
The new LTM 1100-5.2 features a six section 52 metre main boom and a 10.8 to 33 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. The crane is also able to travel with 11.5 tonnes of ballast. Additional features it offers over the company’s original LTM 1100 purchased 10 years ago include Liebherr’s ECOmode and VarioBase systems, along with the new TraXon transmission with ECOdrive.
Company owner Steffen Horn, said: “The LTM 1100-5.2 is a great crane and we were really happy with it. So we decided to go for the same model again. A major advantage is the fact that Liebherr also integrates new developments in crane types that have been on the market for a long time. As the VarioBase variable support set up is now also available for the LTM 1100-5.2, we ordered it too.”
