Results for the Mini crane poll

The poll asking readers what they felt was the best definition of a mini crane ended this weekend. With over 50 percent of votes cast in favour of any crane under 10 tonnes maximum lift capacity.

We feel that the poll was high-jacked at one point with a number of determined readers casting multiple votes. We have introduced software to limit this and at least detect it in future polls.

However we do not believe that the multiple voting would have significantly changed the result, the net effect is that the winning definition had a few percentage points more than it might have got, while the other two lost a percentage or two.

The exact question was:-
As operator training courses are developed for compact/mini cranes, what best defines such a crane?
