Has anyone a 10 tonne crane?
A museum in west Wales whose exhibits cover the history of the internal combustion engine - with an emphasis on the larger diesel units - over the last 100 years, is urgently looking for a 10 tonne crane.
The museum - Internal Fire (web site www.internalfire.com) situated just north of Cardigan has plenty of exhibits, donated by companies such as Rolls-Royce, Qinetiq and various Water Authorities. However it can currently only lift a maximum of 3 tones and a number of exhibits due to be put in weigh 9 tonnes. The lack of suitable onsite craneage makes managing these exhibits difficult.
Paul Evans from the museum contacted Cranes & Access in the hope that we might help find somebody able to help.
"We urgently need to find a 10 tonne crane, preferably something like an Iron Fairy as we have limited space," he said.
"The museum is entirely self-funded through admission and donations so we do not have a lot of spare cash and are therefore looking for something very cheap or a donation.
We are more than happy to publicise any company helping museum or for the museum to be used in their advertising...."
If anyone does have someone that might fit the bill, even a crane that needs some work, please contact Paul on 01239 811212
