Alimak acquires Verta

Alimak is to acquire the assets of US based Verta Corporation, which services, maintains and repairs Building Maintenance Units (BMUs).

Founded in 1976, Verta is based in Grand Rapids, Minnesota with 14 employees, providing maintenance, parts, inspections and project consultation for Building Maintenance Unit platforms across the USA and Canada. A significant portion of Vertra's business comes from the servicing and repair of Manntech units - see: Alimak acquired the Manntech business in 2016. Verta had revenues last year of $3.1 million.

Alimak chief executive, Ole Kristian Jødahl, said: “I am pleased to welcome Verta Corporation into Alimak group. This acquisition will further strengthen our standing as the market leading service provider in North America and give us access to even more, highly skilled service technicians that will help grow our after sales business.”

The transaction is expected to close at the end of September.
