TRT adds to Kobelco network
Australian crane sales company Baden Davis Crane Connection - The Crane Connection - will distribute Kobelco cranes in New South Wales.
The move follows the appointment in January of New Zealand based Tidd Ross Todd (TRT) as Kobelco crane dealer for the Oceania region (see:
TRT to handle Kobelco) after the manufacturer and its previous dealer ACM parted company in 2019. The Crane Connection has worked with TRT for many years and has been the distributor for Tidd pick & carry cranes since 2014 (see:
TRT appoints NSW).
The Crane Connection carries out repair and distributor inspection work from its headquarters in Sydney, which includes fabrication workshops and paint booths. It will be responsible for selling and supporting the full range of Kobelco cranes in New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory – which comprises Canberra and surrounding areas. The company is also the distributor for Link-Belt cranes throughout Australia.

TRT technical director, Robert Carden, said: “The Crane Connection is already doing such a great job with distribution of our Tidd Pick and Carry Cranes, it was such a good fit for both companies. They have a sizeable service operation and facilities based in Sydney and we know they will provide excellent support for Kobelco customers.”
Crane Connection director, Anthony Davis, added: “The Kobelco crawler range fits perfectly with our existing product lines. We have tele crawlers and Rough Terrains, truck cranes and All Terrains with Link Belt. We also look after the Tidd range of articulated pick and carries manufactured by TRT.”
Established in 1967, TRT is based in Hamilton, New Zealand and manufacturers the Tidd line of pick & carry cranes as well as representing Hiab and Grove in New Zealand. It also represents Grove and Manitowoc cranes in Queensland through its operation TRT Australia.
