The crane was not operational at the time of the collapse
The crane was being used to install new emissions control equipment at one of the three Power Plants at the Consumers Energy’s Campbell Complex just before 7am.
Approximately 100 people were inside the building at the time. They all were accounted for, and one was taken to a hospital for treatment of a minor injury.
