Another Liebherr for Johnston
Scottish crane rental company Johnston Rigging has taken delivery of a new 60 tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 as part of a fleet renewal project.
The three axle crane features a six section 48 metre main boom topped by 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold lattice swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to 67.5 metres and offers up to 40 degrees of offset. It has been supplied with Liebherr’s Variobase automatic variable outrigger set up system and emergency shutdown valves making it suitable for use in a refinery.

The new LTM1060-3.1 joins the all-Liebherr fleet at Johnston
Johnston Rigging managing director, Guy Johnston, said: “The LTM 1060 complements our all-Liebherr fleet well. It comes as part of our replacement programme to ensure we are equipped with the most modern cranes available for our hire fleet and to assist our structural steel erecting squads. With its 48 metre boom and nimble chassis we are looking forward to squeezing this crane into small spaces and putting it to work. Our business has been built on relationships and Liebherr has given us fantastic support and flexibility over the years.”
