130 tonne Sennebogen for Bachl

German construction company Karl Bachl has taken delivery of a 130 tonne Sennebogen 6133E telescopic crawler crane.

Replacing a 100 tonner with more than 22,000 hours on the clock, the 6133E is the largest telescopic crawler crane in Sennebogen’s range and boasts a 52 metre, six section main boom, with an eight to 15 metre bifold swingaway extension. It is able to pick & carry its maximum capacity and features a Stage V diesel power unit and the company’s elevating Maxcab which offers up 30 degrees of cab tilt.

The new crane went straight to work lifting reinforced and prestressed prefabricated concrete columns, walls, beams and frost barriers at the construction site of the new 250,000 square metre VGP business park in Munich. There are more than 3,000 elements to be lifted and installed and more than 20,000 square metre of ceiling systems.

Robert Blöchl, senior project manager at Bachl, said: "We were looking for a powerful crane that could move our components flexibly during the prefabricated assembly on the construction site. But it should also have compact dimensions, as we often have limited space on site. What was also important for us: that we could move the crane easily and cost effectively from one construction site to the next. These points were all given with the 6133E."
