Bronto fire platform for Cyprus

Limassol fire brigade of Cyprus has taken delivery of a 60 metre Bronto Skylift F60RLX truck mounted fire platform from local distributor Spyros Houtris & Sons.

Mounted on a four axle Scania chassis, the F60RLX offers an outreach of 31 metres with an up and over height of 10 metres. Maximum platform capacity is 500kg. Features include power to the platform, hydraulic generator, a camera system within the platform and a stretcher carrier.

Following its delivery, more than 15 fire fighters were provided operator training by Bronto instructor Mikko Laiho. A number of them will also undertake senior operator training in order to be able to train future operators.

Laiho said: “The training went smoothly and was quite easy, as the fire fighters already had previous experience from their 32 metre Bronto F32RLX. We did some theory and a lot of hands-on training.”
