CPL teams up with Rivus

UK aerial lift distributor and installer Cumberland Platforms (CPL) - part of the Klubb group - has agreed a service partnership with Rivus Fleet Solutions.

Rivus will provide servicing, maintenance, repair and testing for the range of van and truck mounted platforms sold by CPL from 55 locations throughout the UK. Each location will also be supplied with CPL diagnostic and tooling equipment, as well as have access to parts to carry out both warranty and non-warranty work.

Simon Ungless, Rivus business development director, said: “Businesses that run fleets not only want fast local access to facilities which support their base vehicles – but they also want the same standards for their ancillaries. We have a long experience in supporting manufacturer warranties and a team of multi skilled technicians at every site, with a vast experience on working on on-board equipment such as powered access. Through our national footprint, technical capability and capacity, we can provide users of CPL equipment with a highly-convenient service at industry-leading standards of quality.”

CPL managing director Paul Murphy, added: “CPL is only 10 years old and we have grown significantly in that time to become one of the biggest players in the access market - so this agreement with Rivus represents a significant step as we look to grow further in the future and make our products more serviceable for our customers, wherever they are in the country. We know Rivus has the scale and infrastructure to support our customers and the volume of our equipment that’s in the field so this is great news for customers of both companies.”

Rivus Fleet Solutions was originally established as BT Fleet Solutions in 2002 by the UK’s British Telecommunications (BT). The company ran and maintained its large fleet of vehicles and planned to offer similar services for other businesses. In 2019, the fleet management operation was acquired by the Aurelius group, which changed its name to Rivus Fleet Solutions. Rivus now manages more than 80,000 vehicles, including around the 35,000 unit BT service fleet.
