Point of Rental moves into Germany

US based rental software specialist Point of Rental is moving into the German speaking market with the opening of an office in Goslar, south of Brunswick, Germany. It is the company’s fifth office worldwide, alongside the global headquarters in Texas, and offices in Reading - UK, Melbourne - Australia and Johannesburg - South Africa.

The new location will be headed by Lea Petzold, who returns to her native Germany after three and a half years working in Melbourne Australia, initially as an e-commerce/logistics co-ordinator with an online retailer before joining Point of Rental Australia as a customer services co-ordinator with. She has also worked in Canada and Austria and is a multilingual translator and interpreter.

Lea Petzold

Two Point of Rental software products have already been translated into German, while the company is in the process of adding more German rental experts to its team in order to complete the translations and provide customer service throughout the country.

Chief executive Wayne Harris said: “We look forward to partnering with German rental businesses to provide the best experience to their customers. We have spent the last couple of years getting our software to speak German and we are adding native German speakers to the office. We feel like we are able to serve German rental businesses the way Point of Rental customers expect to be served.”
