Electric telehandler for Bennie
UK rental company Bennie Equipment has taken delivery of a Faresin 6.26 Electric battery powered telehandler.
The new 6.26 Electric is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, which comes with a remote rapid charger that allows the batteries to be topped up, if required during breaks. A regular 110 volt on board charger can be used for an overnight charge from a standard outlet. The standard 300Ah battery will last up to six hours of typical use with a rapid recharge time of 1.5 hours. The new machine was sold and delivered by UK distributor GGR. The company also placed one of the first orders for the new JCB 525-60E all electric telehandlers following its launch back in November. JCB expects to start deliveries of its model shortly.
Bennie Equipment’s managing director Jason McNally said: “Our business is built on service and being able to respond to customer demand at short notice - it is key to our success. We place a lot of value on the relationships with our supply chain and in this instance, GGR was able to supply a unit quickly due to their commitment to carrying stock machines.”
Steve King of GGR added: “Bennie Equipment were amongst the first companies to show interest in the electric telehandler, visiting our premises in Haddenham for a dedicated demonstration, before the first unit had even been sold.”
