Hoist Hire Services was established by Jerry Douce in 1995, originally as Specialist Services (South West), changing its name to Hoist Hire Services in 2000. In 2017 Douce and his fellow shareholder structured a Management Buy Out to his daughter Katy - operations director - and her husband Shawn Williamson the managing director. The company operates from three locations, in Bristol, Buckfastleigh – Devon and Dudley, near Birmingham, with more than 30 employees.
Technical and compliance manager Chris Douce said: “We were delighted to receive our five brand new Maber Hoists and accompanying components. We can’t thank CLM and Maber enough for their excellent service. Since January, Brexit has had a dramatic effect on the importation of goods from Europe, but dealing with CLM and Maber, you would not know it. We have been particularly pleased with not only the supply of Hoists, but also the technical support provided by CLM.”
