Cameroon terminal operator Régie du Terminal à Conteneurs (RTC) has ordered two Konecranes Gottwald Model 6 mobile harbour cranes for its port in Douala.
The G HMK 6507 variant cranes offer a maximum lifting capacity of 125 tonnes and a maximum radius of 51 metres. Scheduled for delivery in the coming months, the cranes will be able to service container vessels up to post-Panamax as well as increase the port’s cargo handling capacity.
RTC Douala managing director Faustin Dingana, said: “Playing such an important part in the local economy, we need to maintain high-quality services for both Cameroonian and international clients. Our two new Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour cranes will help us continue to meet increasing customer demand well into the future.”
