Kalmar order for Tropical Shipping
US freight and logistics operator Tropical Shipping has ordered two Kalmar reach stackers and three hybrid straddle carriers.
Scheduled for delivery for the end of the year, the straddle carriers will be stationed at its port terminals in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and St. Croix in the Bahamas. One of the hybrid straddle carriers will also be delivered to its St. Thomas terminal as well as to its main terminal in Palm Beach, Florida.
Tim DiPietropolo, vice president of operations at Tropical Shipping, said: “Our collaboration with Kalmar has been excellent from the beginning and we highly value their equipment for its high quality, excellent performance and reliability.
