Another Kato for O’Carroll

Irish crane rental company O’Carroll Haulage & Crane Hire is set to take delivery of a 25 tonne Kato CR-250v city crane from UK distributor Rivertek Services.

The CR-250Rv features a 29 metre main boom, an 8.2 metre fully hydraulic jib, and 7.5 tonne searcher hook. Power comes from a Stage V diesel engine, while a 360 degree camera system and anti-lock braking comes as standard. The crane will first make an appearance on the Kato/Rivertek stand at Vertikal Days next week before being handed over to O’Carroll.

Director Maurice O’Carroll said: “We are delighted to add this new Kato to our fleet and having operated Kato city cranes for a number of years we have no hesitation re-investing in Kato. The staff at Rivertek are very helpful, the back-up and parts availability we get from Rivertek is first class and this was also an important factor for us re-investing in Kato.”

O’Carroll will take delivery of its new CR-250v after it features at Vertikal Days next week

Rivertek director Colin Cleary added: “We are delighted to supply this new Kato to Maurice and the team at O’Carroll. We would like to wish them continued success. We are looking forward to displaying this crane at our Vertikal Days stand in Peterborough at the end of the month and we also congratulate the Vertikal team for organising this event.”

Based in Kildimo, just outside of Limerick, family run O’Carroll has a fleet of All Terrain, truck, city type and spider cranes, topped by a 300 tonne Grove GMK6300L-1. It also has heavy haulage fleet.
