Oshkosh appoints Mid East Director

Oshkosh Truck has recruited Audie Zimmerman for the new role of Director of business development for the Middle East region based in Dubai.

Zimmerman, who joins from five years in the Middle East with AM General, will be responsible “for capitalising on business opportunities with Oshkosh’s broad product line in the Middle East. This appointment further strengthens Oshkosh’s commitment to servicing the region” according to a company statement.

"Audie’s extensive background and business development experience in the Middle East will be instrumental to Oshkosh’s growth plans and customer service expansion in the region,” said Robert Bohn, Oshkosh's chairman, president and CEO. "The entire Oshkosh team welcomes him into this strategically important position which supports the increasing globalization of our customer and revenue bases."

While this announcement makes no reference to JLG’s products, Oshkosh has made it clear that it hopes to gain significant advantages from ‘synergies’ between all of its businesses.

You can be sure therefore that it will expect Zimmerman to me on the look out for JLG opportunities as well as those for other Oshkosh products. One assumes therefore that he will be working closely with JLG’s staff covering the region.
