Northern identity

Warren Access is the latest business to join North East England’s promotional drive by emblazoning its vans with iconic images from the region.

The company is transforming its fleet of aerial lifts to display the eye-catching “Passionate people. Passionate places” branding and show its support for the North East England marketing campaign.

So far, four vehicles have been completed and each one uses a different image from the region, including the Tyne Bridge, the Angel of the North, Bamburgh Castle and Durham Cathedral.

The Newcastle-based, family-run business was established by Derek Warren in 1993 and last year his son Graeme and daughter-in-law Michelle joined the business. In the last 12 months the company has gone from strength to strength, moving to new premises and significantly expanding its fleet.

The couple were living in Scotland when they decided to move back to the Warrens home region and get more involved in the family business.
Graeme said: “This is a fantastic part of the world and I think the Regional Image campaign is doing a great job in raising its profile.

“We wanted to think of an eye-catching way of getting our business and the campaign noticed and the new vans are going down really well with clients.”

Stacy Hall, director of communications and tourism at One NorthEast, the organisation behind the Regional Image campaign. said:
“The Regional Image campaign is all about encouraging people living and working here to shout proudly about the region and show their support in the best way they can. Warren Access is a great example of how businesses can play their part in getting the region noticed.”

The company hires van and truck mounted lifts to local authorities, builders, tree surgeons and building maintenance companies throughout the North East.
