GMK5250XL-1 to S. America
Brazilian rental company Sistermi has taken delivery of the first 250 tonne Grove GMK5250XL-1 All Terrain crane in South America.
Delivered to the company’s headquarters in Serra, Espírito Santo, the five axle GMK5250XL features an eight section 78.5 metre main boom topped by an 18 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that can be extended to 33.5 metres with additional inserts. The new crane went straight to work, in the Port of Vitória, to assist with maintenance work.

Sistermi takes delivery of the first Grove GMK5250XL-1 in South America
Sistermi chief executive Aarão Boechat Martins, said: “We have started a process of renewing our fleet, and Manitowoc has been one of the first companies we have worked with on this project. Our operators described CCS as efficient and intuitive, making day to day work on construction sites much easier.”
