Why this lift tipped is still a mystery..was it overloaded?
Three other men working on the job and were unaffected by the accident.
Vertikal Comment
It is too early to say what happened here, and if there are any lessons to be learnt, the lift had its outriggers fully set and one assumes that its was working within radius?
Was the platform overloaded? Were all six workers on this job squeezed into the basket or were they standing around under the machine?
It certainly sounds as if there were at least three in the platform, did the two men jump from the platform?
This lack of clear information is typical of the period right after such an incident, efforts this morning to learn more have failed so far. We will update this report when we discover more information.
Perhaps some of our readers in the area would be kind to send us any additional details as they emerge.
