AFI opens in Scotland

AFI-Uplift, has opened a new depot in Bellshill near Glasgow, its first in Scotland, with an initial fleet of 100 boom and scissor lifts. The aim is to double this within the first 12 months

Tom Bruce, has been appointed general manager for Scotland and will oversee the new depot. Bruce has spent 31 years in the powered access industry, mainly working in Scotland.

He said “There is tremendous potential for growth in Scotland and the opening of the new depot will provide a great opportunity for me to help put AFI-Uplift firmly on the map in Scotland.”

AFI expands into Scotland

AFI director Nick Selley said: “The opening of our Scotland depot is highly significant because it means that we are now offering national coverage across England, Wales and Scotland. It is a further example of how we are responding to our customers’ needs by having the depots and the machines in place throughout the UK to service their requirements.”
