XL Grove for NessCampbell
US crane rental company NessCampbell has taken delivery of the first 250 tonne Grove GMK5250XL-1 All Terrain in the northwest.
Supplied by distributor Western Pacific Crane & Equipment, the five axle GMK5250XL-1 features an eight section 78.5 metre main boom topped by an 18 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that can be extended to 33.5 metres with additional inserts. Features include a Tier 4 final engine and the company’s MaxBase variable outrigger system. Its first job was lifting and placing 12 tonne metal structures at a power facility outside of Sheridan, Oregon, before being sent to lift four HVAC units each weighing 1.6 tonnes at an industrial facility in Portland.

The 250t GMK5250XL-1 has been busy since arriving in the fleet
NessCampbell president John Anderson, said: “We looked at the specs for the GMK5250XL-1 and were impressed with its capacity and the enhancements in the load charts, as well as its compact design. We’ve had such good experience with our Grove cranes, especially our GMK cranes, that we knew the GMK5250XL-1 would be a great fit for our rental fleet. So far its performed perfectly.”
