Gerken acquires Allgaier access
German powered access and telehandler rental company Gerken is to acquire the aerial lift division of the Allgaier group.
The deal is an asset based transaction, with Gerken taking over the entire Allgaier rental fleet, all related staff, its customer base and the division’s Neu Ulm depot. The deal will complete at the start of January. No details of the transaction have been released.
Allgaier set up its aerial lift division in 2007 and has steadily expanded the fleet since then. Today it includes scissor and boom lifts to 28 metres, truck mounted lifts up to 33 metres, and one man AWP portable lifts, as well as a number of telehandlers and forklifts. It is also a member of the Partnerlift association.
Dusseldorf based Gerken is currently expanding its coverage in Southern Germany and recently opened a new location in Marktheidenfeld near Würzburg, while the Allgaier Neu-Ulm location is conveniently situated in terms of transport between the major cities of Stuttgart and Munich.
