Managing director Steve Cutting said: "These lifts are clearly well built and they are easy to operate, something our clients always appreciate, and when I saw they had hydraulic oil coolers I was very happy to take them. Access platforms often need to travel a fair distance in long tunnels to get to worksites and overheating hydraulic oil is an issue. The cooling system on these machines means that is not likely to be something they suffer from. They also have large decks and can carry up to four people which is important for tunnel work where several individuals often have to work together to install large and bulky equipment, such as lighting, ducting and air filtration systems. APS was able to fulfil my order straight away, and with their excellent back-up service, it was an easy decision to take."

APS southern sales director Lee Louder said: "We are delighted Steve and his team have shown their confidence in LGMG and our service support. We don't think he, or his customers will be disappointed. Like all LGMG platforms, the SR818D is designed with a fierce focus on preferences of rental providers and end-users. It's packed with smart features to make it safe, reliable and easy to use."

PG Platforms was established in 1984 and is based near Maidstone in Kent. It runs an aerial lift fleet that includes booms, scissor lifts, spider lifts and truck mounts and is a member of the Access Alliance association of independent rental companies. Thanks to its location it has developed an expertise in in the highway and tunnel maintenance market.
