CMC UK opens its doors

CMC UK has moved into its new facility located in Worthing, West Sussex in Southern England.

CMC Lift UK - a sister company to Tracked Spider Sales, or TSS - was established last year with the manufacturer taking a minority stake in the business See: CMC UK formed. Now it has moved into new purpose-built facilities and become fully operational.

The new facility

The company has set up the facility in two sections. The first includes a warehouse with an inventory of new CMC spider lifts, custom built transport trailers and replacement parts etc…. as well as a workshop facility equipped to carry out everything from Pre Delivery Inspections to repairs, refurbishments and LOLER certifications.

The warehouse area

The other half of the facility houses a showroom and hospitality area displaying a range of the latest CMC models and accessories. Directly outside of this part of the building is a large hard standing demonstration area which is linked to woodlands and open fields, allowing customers to test the machines under real conditions and put them through their paces on ground more like what they will encounter.

There are now around 350 CMC spider lifts operating in the UK/Ireland, increasing at a rate of more than 100 units a year, with momentum growing. All of which is increasing the demand for the services that the new organisation provides, thus the need for this new facility.

Managing director Russell Woodward said: “Acquiring these facilities has only added to the high level of professionalism, quality of service and customer satisfaction that we already offer. The aim is to provide our customers with a complete 360 degree service for all their requirements and servicing needs, now and for the future.”
