Guy Willet joins Smart Platform Rental

Guy Willet the PR and marketing services manager at Nationwide Access is leaving the company at the end of the week to join Smart Platfrom Rental, the up and coming truck mounted aerial lift rental company.

Willet joined Nationwide less than a year ago from Universal where he was also responsible for marketing.

His role at Smart, where he will also be a director, is likely to be a good deal broader than his roles at Nationwide or Universal. He will be based at Smart Plaform's recently opened location in Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham.

Smart Platfrom Rental is owned by a number of shareholders, the largest of whom is managing director Andy Burt, previously with SGB powered access.

The company started with small self-drive truck mounts and a clear, easy to understand open price list. It now offers operators as well but its core business continues to be self-drive rental on the lines of a car rental business. Its fleet is largely CTE Z type booms, with prices starting at £99 for a days rental.
