RentalMax takes Regional Rentals

Chicago-based rental company RentalMax has acquired Regional Rentals and Sales of Hobart, Indiana.

Regional Rentals covers Northwest Indiana from a single location in Hobart, south of Chicago. Established in the mid-1980s the company rents a wide range of equipment, including aerial lifts.

Founded in 1997, RentalMax is based in the Carol Stream suburb of Chicago and covers the greater Chicago region along with Northwest Indiana. Regional Rentals will be merged into the RentalMax network, taking its number of outlets it operates to nine. RentalMax offers a wide range or aerial lifts including booms, scissors, trailer lifts and push around AWPs.
No details of the transaction have been disclosed.

This looks like a good 'bolt-on' acquisition, given that the two companies have similar product lines, while the Hobart location extends the RentalMax network to the south east.
