Telehandlers booming at TPC
The Platform Company entered the telehandler market just 12 months ago when it purchased 70 new JCB Loadalls for its 10 locations.
The uptake of this new product has been so strong that the company has been adding more units on a regular basis to the point where its fleet has grown to 154 units.
The company expects that this will continue to grow to the point where it will be operating 250 machines by the end of the year.
“We anticipated a strong take-up in telehandler hire from existing customers and that has certainly happened, with new customers coming on board to take advantage of the telehandler service alone,” said Lee Perry, sales director of the Platform Company.
“We place great emphasis on operator training of the highest calibre, with a team of 14 trainers working all over the country to provide CITB recognised telehandler operator courses.
