Crane collapse kills two
Two men died and another was critically injured yesterday after a special rotating crane that had lifted them 50 metres in the air to work on the dome of a nuclear reactor.
The accident happened in Brokdorf, near Hamburg, Germany, the men were carrying out repairs to the outside reactor’s dome, when it fell over.

The rotating crane simply collapsed
It is not clear what caused the crane, a lattice gantry type machine designed to service the dome, to topple.
The third man was taken to hospital and was reported to be in critical condition last night.
