JPS Platforms acquisition completed

UK Hire Group has confirmed that the acquisition of JPS Platforms and JPS Group Services has been completed and integrated.

JPS was the 23rd largest aerial lift rental company in the UK in terms of fleet size, according to the latest Cranes & Access Top 30 UK Rental company report with 717 units. It is based on a new two acre site in Harlow, Essex. Sister company JPS Group Services is a tool rental business including ladders and scaffold towers.

The deal is completed

Founded in 2014, JPS was owned by John Young and Sandra Clarke. John Young remains on board as managing director while Ian Pease is national sales manager. No details of the transaction have been disclosed.

UK Hire Group is owned and managed by Adam Hems who has a background in IT, and was set up last July, he manages the business with chief financial officer Lee Simpson. With JPS they are joined by John Young and new recruit Shane Walker who has joined the company from Brandon Hire as general manager of JPS Group Services.
