130 Dingli scissors for Kranpunkten

Swedish rental company Kranpunkten has placed an order for 130 Dingli electric scissor lifts ranging from the ‘No-Oil‘ all-electric slab units up to 56ft electric Rough Terrain machines with working heights of up to 19 metres. The units will be delivered between now and the end of the first quarter.

The company says that environmentally friendly machines now make up 84 percent of its rental fleet. Earlier this year it ordered 100 boom lifts from Niftylift as part of this programme: See: 100 more Niftys for Kranpunkten

The company said: “For Kranpunkten's customers with projects in construction and industry, it is a prerequisite to be able to conduct sustainable operations with environmentally friendly machines. A need we are meeting with a gradual conversion to more electric and hybrid-powered units, while adopting measures to reduce emissions from transport and phasing out substances hazardous to the environment and health.”

Purchasing manager Rikard Jönsson added: “It is gratifying to see that technology development is moving forward and giving us opportunities to supplement our fleet with standardised, electric powered work at height machines. After various tests and product reviews, it also feels very good to be able to execute the order for oil-free machines. Hopefully it will help our customers and our own service organisation in a positive way going forward.”

Kranpunkten i Båstad, to give the company its full name, is based in Förslöv, southern Sweden and runs 4,500 unit fleet of aerial work platforms, telehandlers, forklifts, spider cranes, glass handling robots and personal/material lifts from depots in Uppsala, Stockholm, Malmö and three locations in the Gothenburg area, with 110 employees.
