Schuler & Schuler adds Faresin and Hyrax

Italian telehandler manufacturer Faresin has appointed Swiss sales and rental company Schuler & Schuler as its distributor for construction telehandlers in Switzerland. The company will also import the latest auto-levelling telescopic tracked boom lifts built by Dutch company Hyrax, in particular the 34ft ATE 27.12 electric and ATD 27.12 diesel, both of which offer 12.2 metres of working height and up to 8.75 metres outreach.

The first Faresin telehandlers arrive with Schuler & Schuler

Schuler & Schuler has been active in the powered access market for more than 25 years and now distributes the full Snorkel line up - including the Snorkel badged telehandlers - along with Dinolift trailer, boom and spider lifts, Valla pick & carry cranes, Smart glazing robots, Oil & Steel truck mounts and spider lifts, Holland lift scissors and LiftSmart material lifts.

In order to kick off the Faresin deal Shuler has already taken its first three machines into stock, including Faresin’s six metre/2,600kg 6.26 Full Electric, which will be the company’s initial focus. Sales and service training was organised to coincide with the arrival of the first units, conducted by Günter Schipper though his Schipper Akademie.

Speaking of the new distribution agreements Damien Shuler said: “For us it was important to have both Snorkel and Faresin branded telehandlers. We will focus on the whole range but trying to push the electric machines first. We were impressed with the new electric telehandlers, and they fit well with the other products we offer. Electric machines are the future and more companies in Switzerland are looking for emission free machines. We also decided to stock a lot of accessories and give customers the choice between Euro couplers, which they might already have, or Faresin’s own couplers.”

They also have a high quality level, and we think, even when their price level is way higher than some other machines, we will have a good chance to find the right customers here for these 15 degree self-levelling machines with 360 degree slew which are drivable at full height - that’s exactly what it’s needed in Switzerland, but we will see. The first machines, complete with a custom trailer will arrive in January.”

The Hyrax AT 27.12, available with diesel or electric power

Schuler & Schuler is based in Immensee near Küssnacht on the Zugersee (Lake Zug) and has been selling aerial work platforms and aluminium towers since it became the Swiss distributor for UpRight in the late 1990s. It initially built, sold and rented trailers for moving equipment, and having been asked to build some to transport work platforms recognised the potential for such equipment, which soon became its main business.
