UK’s 100th Multitel MZ 250

Multitel has delivered the 100th 25 metre MZ 250 articulated truck mounted platform to be delivered to the UK.

In total more than 700 units of the MZ 250 have been sold across Europe since its launch, at Bauma in 2019. The articulated unit features a two section lower boom/riser and two section top boom, plus a long articulating jib providing a maximum working height of 25.1 metres, a maximum outreach of 14.35 metres with 80kg, while the 250kg maximum platform capacity is available at up to 10.35 metres outreach.

The unit can also work up to 2.5 metres below ground. In the UK it is by far the most popular model among end users, particularly cleaning and maintenance companies, house builders, as well as rental companies. The 100th unit to arrive in the UK actually went to a new Multitel customer, Ryemead Commercial of High Wycombe. The reasons most cited for its popularity, include the compact chassis, with a three metre wheelbase and tight turning radius, especially on the 3.5 tonne Iveco, along with Multitel’s ‘MUSA’ variable monitored outrigger set up which automatically creates a corresponding work envelope.

Features on the latest models now include Multitel’s EVE electronics system, along with improved simultaneous proportional operation, and a smoothing function that helps even a less experienced operator control the machine like a pro from both control panels.
