Kiloutou acquires Jamart Modulaire
Kiloutou has acquired French modular building and cabin rental company Jamart Location Modulaire
Jamart was established in 2001 by Nicolas Jamart along with 10 colleagues in the town of Fresnes-Mazancourt, halfway between Paris and Lille with the idea of transforming the modular space rental market. In 2005 it opened a branch in Montmirail, due east of Paris in the Marne, moved its head offices to Estrées-Deniécourt in 2007 and in 2011 joined forces with France Industrie in the Alsace/Luxembourg region. The company operates from the same three locations covering Normandy, the Île-de-France and the Alsace.
The acquisition boosts Kiloutou’s presence in the temporary space market which kicked off with its takeover of Akmo in 2015 followed by four further acquisitions over the following two years,
merging them into a single division in 2019 under the name Kiloutou Module, which currently operates from nine locations.
The company said: “The acquisition of Jamart Location Modulaire, bolsters the expertise of both Kiloutou and its dedicated subsidiary in this area. Kiloutou Module already operated in most regions of France, and the three new branches acquired in Northern and Eastern France will further strengthen its presence. Kiloutou Module now covers almost all of France, with 12 branches focusing on both rentals and sales and managing 23,000 modular space units. This is a transformative acquisition for the subsidiary’s operations in France, and one that also fits with the Group’s overall strategy.”
Kiloutou has been
owned by HLD and Dentressangle since the start of 2018, the new owners have encouraged and funded the company to expand rapidly through acquisitions, both in France and other European markets, including Germany, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Portugal and Poland. Around the same time as this acquisition was announced the company also confirmed that it had acquired Aerotecnica in Italy.
