The Tecno Gru ‘back story’
Tecno Gru was founded in 1995 having evolved out of Tecnomacchine, which was established in 1981 in Castiglione delle Stiviere (MN) to assemble cranes. In the 1980s the company began building the Hyco Rough Terrain cranes with Icoma and had delivered around 750 units before the relationship came to an end.
In the early 1990s Tecnomacchine collaborated with Bendini, assembling around 400 units, mostly its Delta ‘cab’down’ Rough Terrains from 16 to 25 tonnes, and later the 25 and 35 tonne Beta models.
Tecno Gru was set up as a crane, aerial lift and telehandler distributor, it became a Terex crane distributor in 1998, following its acquisition of Bendini and PPM to form Bendini-PPM. It has also worked with Genie, JLG and Italmacchine - which Terex acquired to build Genie telehandlers.
Over the years it has also sold new and used machines from Italian producers, such as Rigo, Corradini, Locatelli, Ormig, Belotti and Marchetti to name a few.
