Raimondi twins for new university campus
Two Raimondi MRT111s flat top tower cranes have been supplied to AtlasPantou - MAN JV Construction for work on the new university campus in Paphos, Cyprus, the first overseas outpost of the American University of Beirut.
The cranes have been supplied and installed by Raimondi distributor ConAgro. Both MRT111s are free standing at this point, one has a jib length of 48 metres and a hook height of 30 metres while the second is 36 metres high with a 50 metre jib with a capacity of 2.3 tonnes. Both cranes have 30kW hoists with a maximum lift speed of 100 metres a minute and a drum capacity of 450 metres. The two cranes are scheduled to remain onsite for 12 months. The new campus will host administration buildings, classrooms on three levels and an auditorium.

Peter Rouvas of ConAgro said: “We are thrilled to participate in this higher education project with two Raimondi flat tops and continue our partnership with AtlasPantou. The MRT111 performs well in terms of maximum load and hoist speeds, as well as its tower height versatility. Additionally, in line with the market trends of the area, many jobsites now require cranes with a maximum lifting capacity ranging between eight and 10 tonnes.”
ConAgro is based in Nicosia and also distributes Manitou, Wacker Neuson and Ascorel crane related safety equipment.
